Hi Mick,  welcome to the forum.
Stayed at the Nindigully Pub in May. nice spot for a short stay.
Word of advivce, don't park near the river in any sort of rain, farmer across the road charges $300 a pop to pull your rig out of the mud.

Hi Mick
Maybe it was your pleasant personality.
Info i got was from some guy that worked at the pub that i was chatting to. Sounds as though he was exaggerating a bit. eh ? it was raining at the time, but i was parked up at the top flat area.
Nice spot though, will stay there again, next time we go that way.

Yeah think he may have been having a lend of you . Rob is a fairly fair dinkum bloke and is very active in getting the Gully well known spot and I cant see him charging that amount as it would be a quick way to turn people away .

We are at Nindigully right now . It hasn't changed . Great steaks , great beer .

Plenty of water in the river . Got a good feed of yabbies . No luck with the yellowbelly though .

Use a half-rotted sheeps head for bait in your trap. Works every time!

Gross Gerty.......blankstare..........  Liver is another good one and usually works but not last time we were there, perhaps it was too cool at that time of the year or something

Honestly, when we were kids (a lo-o-ong time ago) we had a yabby trap that we put in the irrigation channels, and once when we found a dead sheep, we put the head in the trap and the yabbies went for it big-time! They are a pest in irrigation channels so our parents encouraged us to catch as many as poss. Same with carp.

If you are line-fishing for yabbies... pull them slowly toward the bank while they are feeding on the bait, then sweep them out with a net.

Wish I could catch fish as easily.

Yabbies certainly go for lambs liver . That's what we used at Nindigully . Got 60 good ones in 2 days with 2 nets .
