Re. Is this true grey nomads are thieves?

There's a certain "Sporting" club that I know of where the membership demographic is a bit on the "pellicularly faded" and "folicularly challenged" side.

The members are, at times, reluctant to admit to their advancing years and concomitant loss of 'youthful attractiveness'.
This results in them insisting that the lighting is kept at an "intimate" level most evenings and especially at social functions. This presents the bar staff with some difficulties, especially as they are of much the same age group and, as we are all well aware, suffer from a lack of optical acuity in reduced lighting.

To compensate, the management very cunningly provided them all with those tiny LED lights which attach directly to one's fingers, making them all look like multi talented "E.T.s".

A secondary effect of the low level of lighting was that it was not always possible to ensure that the persons behind the bar were only the ones authorised to be there. So when the till was occasionally found to be "short", it was always explained away by the probability that some unethical ordinary member had been helping him/her/its self under the cover of the relative darkness.

The culprit/s has/have never been identified, leading to the speculation that the thief might be one of the staff.

Difficult to prove who, though, with all the light fingered bar stewards that they employ.

wink
