Ibbo, are you asking about a town/village called Deeepwater or are you asking about deep water ? I googled up Deepwater on the maps and in Vic it is on the coast down Warrnambool way and in NSW it is near Glen Innes. In SA it is just inland from the Coorong. Tried but I can't help. I know about deep water as I'm usually in it here at home!!!!!!!

Hi Ibbo...could you give us some more info, like how you heard about it?
I grew up near the Mighty Murray, and something is struggling to find its way back into my consciousness...think it might be an area rather than a named place. (I never have senior moments, only blonde moments!!)
Hi Terro and Rosey thank you both for your replies.I did send a message earlier on today but it seems to have gone to Gowings. Deepwater is in fact near Echuca about 18 k's away i am told.A mate of my sons told us about it and said it was a great place.I am that it has a pub,Marina, store etc.Knowing the might of the Forum I thought that I would ask about Deepwater.Cheers.Ibbo.

Alas and Alack,I appear to have made a stuff up with the name Deepwater,it should have read Deep Creek. Can't blame the Yummies this time, just a momentary memory lapse caused by naggingus Wifus in lugholeus.Sorry if I have confused anybody.Cheers.Ibbo.
That's OK Ibbo we are allowed "senior" moments. Now I have located a Deep Creek near Echuca. It's actually nearer Moama over the river in Pericoota Road. Not hard to find if you are coming from Echuca over the bridge through Moama and turn left. I don't have first hand experience of Deep Creek and as it says on the map there is a marina there. We have stayed on a property in Pericoota Road a few times and it is a lovely area. Something stirring in my memory tells me it is a house boat marina, could be wrong though. There are a couple of clubs close by, the RSL and the Rich River clubs are just off Pericoota Road. Rich River has a golf course if that is one of your activities. Only a few minutes out of Moama and a few more into Echuca. There is plenty to see and do on the area as you may already know. Hope this is of some assistance.

Deep creek marina is accessed from the NSW side. It is a marina for houseboats. Its interesting to have a look at and drool over some of the mansions built to float. There is a Pub i think ,We have been for a drive there but can't quite remember what was there other than the houseboats. I think you can boat out to the marina. Echuca Tourist info would be able to fill you in more.
Thank you Pam and Terro, yes that is the place I should have been looking for.Now I can have a Yummie or whatever.Started to work my way through all the different lambrusscos on the market,I may add that I do this as a service to lambofruit producers and without pay.Bugga off Disco,it's not my turn in the barrel(Navy joke).Cheers.Ibbo.
