My oh my .. so this is Victoria .. hehe ! .. musta been a while since I last poked around in Wodonga ..
.. Apart from the new expressway that now actually bypasses both Albury and Wodonga, not that much seems to have changed .. some lovely spots around still ..
Spending a few days at the Boathaven Holiday Park (CP) while getting some electrical work fitted for me ..
Undecided where to drift next .. but really enjoying the moment ..
Hello Jim .. Its still seems to pervade some of the old characteristics .. Folks I've linked up with here still proudly display the old attitude of personal service which is something thats simply disappeared from the todays etticat .. (sorry about the spelling . doesnt look right ..)
get out of there quick smart, and come over to some good country before the heat starts, wild flowers are still out and things are still green, the gums are flowering and galahs breeding everywhere
U lucky bugger Jon u are now in gods country, Now if i was u I would take a detour out through Yackandanda then on to Myrtleford where this little fat bloke lives. All good now loverly and green. ps dont listen to Davo, Vic is the place to be hehe, and u can drink the water .

yeah, I know about the Adelaide water after living there for some time .. but Dave hasn't got that prob .. they just don't have any water .. poor buggers !
Actually, I've got some time to fill in. Up until next Thursday when I have to be back here in Wodonga. I've decided to head back aways to Culcairn to see if I can get space in a CP there for the next week. They also have a bowling green and I do love my bowls but haven't played in about 8 weeks .. so I'm starting to stress out ! tee hee ! hehe! I don't want to get caught without being in a CP over the 'race' weekend, but will identify Myrtleford for consideration ..
we have plenty of water, I dont know what you're talking about, last time it rained (about 1972 I think) I saved a 20 litre bucket and I still have half left, we're a frugal lot over here
victoria is a nice enough spot if you like that type of thing, the only problem is that it contains bloody victorians
starting to warm up over here so the wildflowers will soon be gone and the green will turn to brown then dust, 32 here today and expecting in excess of 36 on sunday, all I can say is thank the lord for air conditioned cabs, warm nights so around the clock reaping
we have had a little bit of rain here lately our season has been reasonably kind, crops are fair to good, better that the average of the last ten years, eyre peninsula copped the storms and ruined their hope of a good year
adelaides reservoirs are overflowing so that may ease the burden on the murray for a little bit
never mind we still get up in the morning, always a good sign of life!
Hi Jon.We have just arrived back from the Echuca area.Never spent any time in Vic before but I certainly had an eye opener with it's greenery and vineyards. We free camped along the River Murray at Deepcreek about 18 klms from Moama.Perfect bliss, not another human around, plenty of birds, fish,no mossies and only flies until dusk then they nicked off.We will certainly be back down that way.Cheers.Ibbo.
Hi Terro.Yep we found Deepcreek. It is 18 orso klms from Moana. It is a Marina,Pub,Grocery Store etc.I guess that it is mainly a marina for 90 or so Houseboats/gin Palaces on water.LOL.We found it to be very quiet and pleasurable. All very modern and well kept.Terro, the main aim of the exercise was to to take "photos..............flat bloody batteries in the camera.I do have some photos that you may like to see but I will not post them on line just yet.Cheers.Ibbo.
Dave .. the last one I said that about told me they were frugal too .. recycled actually .. will let thet rest .. hehe
I'm camping at NUG NUG .. about 13 k's south of Myrtleford .. and it has no comms .. will be leaving there next thursday morning early to go back to Wodonga ..
Til then I will see no mail etc .. catch you all later !
Wow John! From a nervous nelly at the beginning, to a competent and adept happy camper. I bet you're now glad you made the decision to do this. Good for you. Enjoy yourself am who knows, we may cross paths somewhere. Take care.
