Hi. I live in Bris, still work but travel on weekends and whenever i can..spent time living in Africa more recently but am back to travel our own beautiful country. When i retire i will buy a larger motorhome and live on the road...I play the African drum, called a Djembe and love music, festivals and beautiful people...my Hi ace is great and independant so i can free camp..just about to get new batteries..god how expensive but the others have worn out now...i look forward to logging in about once a week. Next on my agenda is learning how to use a uhf radio for when i travel full time. I am not very technically minded but think it would be good for company and safety...am i right?? I enjoy reading all your posts and hope to learn much much more from you all......"One Colour, One People'..Lynn
Hi Lynn Welcome. I am a Hiace lover too. It's just the right size; easy to get into bush camps and woollies supermarket too. My UHF is on the fritz and haven't got around to doing anything about fixing it. Look forward to hearing how you are going with yours.

Hi Lynn, we have just bought a UHF radio. got from a company in Perth recommended on this forum by a couple of people and couldn't fault them. Ordered the item at 3:00 pm and it was delivered the next day in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne at 10:30 am. Pretty good I thought. The company has a web site at http://www.prestigecom.net.au have a look there are some good things there. I bought a GME 3440 bundle with an antenna, very happy with it. Cost $485 delivered then $100 to get it fitted. Good luck.
