Dave, whats the story behind the guy who goes swimming every morning and sing opera while doing so?
he wasn't too bad neither, buggered if i could sing and swim at the same time.

G'day Gary, sorry for being late

now the feller who sings every morning whilst swimming is a well known local bloke by the name of Robert Andrews,

I will give his full name as he is a state if not nation wide identity, I am surprised you hadnt heard of him before, he has been on "statewide", and the "seven thirty report" as well as others that I cant remember

he started swimming a long time ago, we have been here for 30 years and he's been swimming and singing nearly every morning for all that time

the only time he will not go in to the water is when "george" is around,

now "george" is another local identity, he is as big or bigger than "shakka" our local stuffed shark

rumours put his size around the 20 - 25 foot mark, we are talking about a great white shark of course, he is a bit of a pet, the local fishermen feed him and he sometimes follows boats, as yet he has not attacked anyone but it does put the wind up some of our local players who venture out in twelve foot tinnies

we regularly have kayakers here in the harbour and yes he does aproach but as yet not attacked, rumour has it he has no teeth, whether there is truth in that I have no idea, but I do know he is very tame, been reports of folks "patting" him!

dont know if I would do that, we also have a few pods of dolphins that are regulars here as well that are hand fed from our local fish supply shop
