So sorry to hear of your disappointment .. I know how you were hangin' to get out on the road ..
It seems the change of "tug" seems to be the most effective and least expensive way to get around the problem. The weight being the critical factor .. and the rest of the unit is still what you wanted in a caravan ..
I'm sure it'll all swing back in your favour ..
Even with my vehicle (being under warranty), I found that I needed to make decisions to take ownership and make the vehicle "mine" .. Once you have taken possession of a new vehicle or van etc, the dealers sincerity is not always forthcoming as it was at "sale" time.
It's for the long term and I then have only myself to blame for any misgivings ..
I dont know about lowering your standards Gary, you have bought a land rover!! so you may as well strike up an alliance with the duck!! cant go much lower I'm afraid!
poor bugger all my sympathy belongs to you!, I'll grab a slab and some chops and meet you all down there shall I?????
I must remember to cover my ears when that meeting is underway!!!!
45 here, whats the temp in the smoke! buggers have kicked me off the header again so it's cups of tea and nagging!! .............................bored, bored, bored!!!!!!!!
52 in the shed so no good trying to go out there, everything burns the hand when I go to touch it!
if I go to the office they'll put me on accounts and orders again, bugger that!!

Just be thankfull you didnt kicked off like our header driver hit a bloody stump and wrecked the front .
the paddock I was in a week ago had swags of reefs, I almost got a couple of them, gotta have eyes in the back of your head on these things
feller down the road picked up a rock and put it through the comb and bent the intake auger, couldnt be straightened by normal methods, a new one was $45,000
god knows what a new complete front (header) would be worth
