Hello everyone I have just bought a second hand motorhome,it has been out in the elements for a couple of yrs. What is the best to use to get it back to shiney again? Thanks
a hell of a lot of elbow grease, if it is aluminium with two pak paint then a cut and polish will do it, I use mcguires
if it is steel panel then treat it as you would a motorvehicle
if it is fibreglass then go to a boat shop and ask them for a cutting compound and a polishing cream for the topcoat and progress carefully or you will penetrate the gelcoat to expose the white underneath
Hi Steve. As Dave06 has already said, get the correct polishes etc.You are in for some hard work mate.Plenty of Shade and keep up the fluids. One thing about restoring the outside is that you will come across other little jobs that may need doing. All good fun in the end though.By the way where is your locality?I don't recognise the name.Cheers.Ibbo.
Thanks dave06 & ibbo i will now get started with the help of my sons,i will let you know how it turns out.I am on the Atherton Tablelands Regard Steve.
no worries, Mate, keep the cloths clean, moist cheesecloth is the best for cut and polish and old flannel shirts for final polishing
never heard of "mirror image" but that doesnt surprise me, if you go to a car detailer and ask what they use then you would be on the right track, they cant afford to use anything that doesnt perform!
