Quick fill for caravan water tanks;

Tired of standing there holding the hose , dribbling water in the tank ?

This is my way around it .

Locate water tank drain hose & tap.
Cut hose at suitable location ,
fit a plastic T-peice into hose ,
connect a food grade hose to the T- peice & run it along the chassis to the
external water tap on the a frame .

Method 1>>>
connect to tap with a clip on conector , If done this way also fit a plastic tap [ same as drain tap ] into the hose near main tap , this is to stop drain back when you wish to use the external tap .

Method 2>>>
remove the external tap from the male fitting ,
fit a brass T-peice to male fitting ,
refit original tap plus a second tap to the T
Connect filler hose to one tap which leaves the second tap free for use .
If done this way you do not need the antidrain back tap in the filler hose as in method 1.  This is the way I done mine .

To fill tank ;
Remove filler cap to allow venting ,
turn on tap & you have mains pressure filling .

Bonus!!!!!
Doesn't upset the other half when you disconnect the hose to fill the tank .
Gotta be happy with that !

I found this on another forum     if you have a Jayco it fills the tanks in no time the rubber end fits snugly into the water filler    water pressure blows the air out  as filling

Can be brought from Bunning for about $7

I find filling my tank is a kind of "zen" experience, I have to go slow or it spits back at me, I go to my happy place and meditate the time away, I dream of the adventure that awaits, the views, the travel

I stand, hose in hand, water trickling in to the little hole, mind already on holidays, eyes going over every inch of the vehicle, lock downs, tyres inflated correctly, fox tail at a jaunty angle, stickers correct and level

ahhhhh!!!! how's the serenity!!!!!!!!!!!

speed is not the essence for me, the contemplation time is important to me, the expectation!!

pre trip nirvana!!!
