Hi all Looking to buy a AGM 120amp battery for van any one any ideas the best battery and best price for said item in Adelaide. Any comments would be appreciated.
I was told that its not good to have a lead acid battery with an agm. Is this so, then why? I am buying a 150 amp hr deep cycle to run my new fridge for $310 in Brisbane QLD.
Using an AGM battery as an aux and a normal "flooded" or "wet" battery (that's the normal common or garden variety that comes with the car) as a main (starting) battery is not a problem provided you have a proper dual battery system installed. Note that a dual battery system should be installed regardless of the mix of batteries used for main and aux.
A week ago I bought 4 Fullriver DC115-12B AGM batteries (for the house system in the OKA) @ $308 each plus 1 Fullriver HGL120-12B (for cranking use) @ $330 From Alco Batteries on Grand Junction Road. Their initial prices were substantially higher, but they will sell at the above if pressed.
