Make sure it's an absolutely secure lock-up compound at the roadhouse. The area, also known as Warman Community, can be a bit tricky as far as the local residents are concerned. Instinct should tell you to take all care to make sure your gear is found as you left it. If it was me, and it's not, I'd check out the security first before leaving Kununurra or Broome, or Fitzroy Crossing. If you're doing a self-drive you can also take off from Kununurra leaving the van in a secure place in town. It's a bit longer but it may be a safer option for your vehicles. If you're doing a fly-over or safari with a tour mob you can take off from Kununurra, but will still need a secure compound in which you store your van and/or tug. You may choose to get some advice from the local Law Office. Safe and happy travels.

Wombat, If you're unsure about Warman, There is a beaut little clean roadhouse/caravan park called Doon Doon about half way between Wyndham and Turkey Creek (Warman). It would still be reasonably accessable to the Bungles I don't know about their security, but I do know they used to shut the gates to their park on sundown!
