For anyone who knows the area they may be interested to know that the sandbar that has been blocking Tuross Lake has been breached.
Recent heavy rainfall with a little bit of help from council machinery has seen water flowing out of the lake for the first time for a couple years.
There are several dolphins who will be happy I am sure as they have been trapped in the lake since it last closed.
I would love to be there with a boat because, I don't know how but any pelagic fish within miles know when this type event is about to happen and they congregate around the mouth of rivers, or in this case lakes waiting for the inevitable feeding frenzy that is about to happen when the trapped waters flow.
Cheers Neil

The Pic isn't all that good, you never have the camera ready when they are closer, but this was one of the dolphins in Tuross Lake. We love it there and go frequently. Tuross Lake is on the South Coast of NSW Colsa

Thanks Ma looks like a nice spot we might have to try and include it on our way back to qld. We may not be able to meet up in Mudgee, we have landed a house sitting job near gympie and will need to be there by about 11th may so i don't think it will be doable maybe next time.
