Hi having made a booking for Mudgee already,I'd like to know if any people from this site are going...I feelI may be met with a measure of hostility if its mostly ABB and disaffected members from here......don't know whether to go or cancel...
Denise I live on both forums mate. BB guys are great along with the GN guys. I am going and I don't even bite so come and have a relaxing time and meet new people. There is no hostility on the BB site for any members here what so ever.
The members from GN that are going are all firm friends with the members from BB that are going and that won't change. I am soooo looking forward to meeting some of you guys, it should be a lot of fun.

I am a member of both fora, I and my good wife will be at the Mudgee bash with bells on,and for the life of me I cannot understand where all the so called hostility is perceived to be or by who. There seem to be a few people with their noses out of joint. Come on folks get over it and be happy.

I am a member of both fora also and I am damned if I can see where all the hostility is coming from.
Unfortunately we will not be ay Mudgee as it conflicts with plans already in place.
I sincerely hope all who do attend the Mudgee meet have a wonderful time and may I take this opportunity to thank dwah for all the hard work she has put into organising it all. ONYA dwah.

JRH, there will be scones and Guinness cake and you will not be there to share, now I am sad.
But we will raise a glass to you my friend and maybe next time.
FF thanks for the kind words, would love to be there but unfortunately as I have said Mudgee conflicts with plans already in place and next time I promise I will be there to help you raise that glass as long as the Duck doesn't get jealous. Strange creatures these Ducks.:):):)

Oh!!!!!!! we will all meet up at one of the gatherings somewhere in good old OZ.
We are really looking forward to that also, both myself and Irona (Wife) love meeting new people and making new friends, and just to prove that I am sincere I will leave the shotty at home so Ducky will have nothing to fear.

Thanks for responding, I will go, I'm also intrigued to put faces to names and to have a fun time. I'm thinking of maybe checking out panning somewhere like Hill End afterwards...anyone been there or interested? Denise
I'm glad this is still going ahead. I think we all need it. Unfortunately I plan to be in SA to celebrate a milestone birthday in June, but wherever I go I hope I keep meeting GN's and have little get-togethers wherever we are. As you saw we had a little get together in Cairns last week. The chat was great and the coffee was hot. I'm sure we'll do it again. If anyone comes to Cairns I'm sure we can organise a little GN get together.

Dad and I arnt sure at the moment if we'll be there or not, nothing to do with whats going on , its just that we have made up our minds to finally go to Perth in June/July , something I've been wanting to do with my dad for a long time.. My mum and dad went on the train together and I didn't get to go, so this time its us... while we / he can...
so we may leave this one for another time, not sure yet.. we have been planning Perth for a while so .... see what happens..

I have been to Hill End and the Sofala Area. Absolutley fascinating. I'm thinking of hiring a suitable conveyance for this excursion. Last time I was going through there I was young enough to camp, alas these days the "boys own adventure of camping " has lost it's lustre. So if I go to Mudgee I'll also travel via Hill End and Sofala.
Denise I have not read your post until just now so please forgive my late entry, if you are considering going to Mudgee for the gathering then please hold no trepidation, you will be met warmly and treated as family, most from the other site are still my and your friends, only a few non travelers are creating strife
do not hesitate for a moment about attending if that is your desire, you will have a ball, if it weren't for commitments I would eagerly attend!
Would all the members here going on the winery tour Ma is organising, send me a PM to let me know and I will pass it on to her for the numbers. She will be away all of April and wants to finalise it by the end of March.
THanks heaps.
