Found these photos whilst scanning through some folders on the computer. We were at Herberton in the Atherton Tablelands in July at the local caravan park. It was about minus one million degrees. Thank goodness Bundy Rum came to the rescue.
P.S. I hate the cold but married to a Victorian who hates the heat.
Mate you should try Captain Morgan Extra Spiced Gold Rum, it is imported and I had a hand in getting to Oz a few years ago, emailing overseas distributors and local suppliers in when they would have that rum here. Lo and behold they finally came here and they sold out solid for the first month or so, It is very tempting to drink the whole damn bottle it's so good. It has a vanilla smell and spices added and it's heaven mixed with coke, as that is the only way I drink it. Give it a try and you won't regret it. It's about $34 bucks or so a bottle.
As a lover of rum I have tried a few types. Captain Morgan was right up there but I must say I haven't tried the spiced version. These days I mostly drink my wife's home brew Navy Rum (distilled) which too has a slight vanilla flavour. All to do with budget I suppose with home brew coming in at about $7 a litre. We have around 20 litres on hand at any time including 9 litres in an oak cask. Whenever I get the chance though I will pick up some Bundy or Morgan for something different.
i hate the taste of rum but i do love the bundaberg chocolate rum on ice its a nice drop bummer you cant buy it in the bottlo once here they did special you could buy it in a pack of 2 one chocolate/one red rum, but that is now finished only place its purchasable is the rum distillery in bundy itself.
