I think I know the answer to this, but confirmation would be nice: I'm leaning towards buying a Nissan Navara which has a fibreglass canopy. I want to fit a roofrack so I can have an awning. Can you have a roofrack on a fibreglass canopy, or should I go for a metal canopy? And can you have a roofrack with a metal canopy? Cheers, TonyD

Hi Tony The fibaglass canopies have internal frames that run down the internal walls of the canopy and fix to the base where it sits on the tray. So yes cheers blaze
Thanks, guys. That's good news. I don't intend to put anything heavy on the rack. I could probably manage to lift an empty jerrycan up there, but not a full one! Cheers, Tony

Hi TonyD, I've just gone thru the same drama as you as I have a Navara too minus canopy and wanted to mount a Rhinorack boatloader, some said it couldn't be done. I rang Rhino and talked to a bloke called Craig Kopacz and he gave me all the correct info, part numbers and price. Their number is 02 96384744, worth doing to get it right
or you could bypass the canopy altogether and bring braces straight off the side of the tub, which is what I did for a mate who wished to carry his boat
Hi Di-n-Gary, Thanks for that. As a matter of interest, what fuel consumption figures do you get from the Navara? I've read about some wild variations, including some I don't believe, Cheers, Tony
