200 KLMS From Brisbane

hi new here and this has probably been posted before but ...... retired pensioner here as with lots of us money being a bit tight looking for cheap not necessarily free places for 4 - 5 day holidays in the van near brisbane.  anything with fishing/bushwalking is a definate plus.  love the coast but its just getting priced out of our budget.  (except for Donnybrook, on the Pumicestone Passage and Inskip Point).  Those two can be my donation, and would love to hear from anyone who has any other suggestions.  cheers - Pete and Gail

I can suggest three for you off the top of my head

1/ Flanagans reserve Mt. Barney

2/ Bigriggen (almost next door)

3/ Goomburra valley campground (near Cunninghams gap)

The above have hot water showers and toilets, but no power or water to the vans

Cost is around the $20.00 per couple at last check

There is also Gordon country in the Goomburra Valley cheaper, but no facilities

Hope the above helps

hi petengail, we go to flanagans reserve near mount barney quiet a bit. they charge $6.60 each a night. hot showers for 20 cents minute ( i think ). push button toilets. can buy firewood there. don't need to book unless it's a special weekend or it's school holidays. also sharp park or riverbend camping as it is now called ( near canungra ) was about $7.00 each a night each. push button toilets only. can buy firewood from the rangers. hope this helps.
