1996 Crime Figures for Metro and Regional WA

Although nearly 15 years old, I found these crime figures for WA very interesting, especially the number of female offenders compared to males and the different areas of the State.  I doubt the general distribution of crimes to areas would have changed much.

Take the time to look at the various charts further down the report, see;

Some other info on National figures can be found here also;

Someone was asking about Carnarvon on another thread, it is one of the places in high crime regional areas and is covered by the title Gascoyne and would account for most of the crime in that area.

I have a sister living there and I can tell you it has not changed much. As long as you are aware of this and take precautions though it is still worth a visit and it has one of the best weather conditions for summer and winter in WA.
