Barnhill is a farm stay located 160 klms south of Broome,it could be easly missed when driving on the highway but at about the 160k mark you will see a large tractor tyre painted white , this is the entrance to the place, from memory it is about 10 klms in, the road is quite good. You will need to take cash they don't use credit of any type. Bring all the food and drink you expect you will need, no shop. Although they do sell milk. It is very basic but we had a fantastic time there. good luck. They have a xmas in july which is great the year we were there we sat down with about 260 people and had a ball. If you have a generator you can stay away from the main camping area if not and you need power then you need to be in the main camping area therefore you may need to book. The first time we stayed there no problem but the next year we had to book, it is becomming very popular. The fishing can be good . regards Malcolm undefined

we stayed a couple of days on our trip around australia in 2005, The greeting from the office lady was welcome unfortunately thats were it ended, a view that was shared by our neighbours who had been there 4 days and no one spoke . we walked past a group gathering of caravanners and my wife and I both said good afternoon and were ignored. Apparently a lot of travellers from W.A head there to stay a few months during winter and act accordingly that they own the spot. My wife was informed that she had to wait until 4pm to light the donga for a shower and the book had a waiting list of days to do any washing, I guess we left there vowing never to return, thats our experience anyway.
