Searching....

This is getting to be very hard finding the right vehicle.....I want a Toyota coaster around $20.000 to $30.000 Diesel..With everything  even the kitchen sink ...Living in Bacchus Marsh near Melbourne is so damn hard to find anything.......

Queensland and NSW  is the most popular place to buy it seems..... I am attempting to try my luck with fellow Grey Nomads....Surely some one is about  to retire from the travelling and give Shirls and I a call......I actually don't want  to deal with dealerships...Far too many pitfalls.....Would love to hear from anybody who could help........my email is   jimbo.kenny@gmail.com     I ever use GMail talk if interested..

This is getting desperate......Life is slipping away too fast...Must get on the road to join all you happy people......

Ps  Will travell anywhere in Aussie to seal the deal

Hi Jimbo

Have you tried the Pickles Auction site, they sell caravans etc. They might have what you are looking for.

Also put an add up at the caravan parks, someone may be upgrading.

Look at the Youth Hostels as well, sometimes there is a good turnover in vehicles as travellers buy and sell them after they have done their trip.

Good luck
Allara

For those that are interested in my search.....It seems I am onto a good wicked  Toyota Coaster Diesel Everything I have been searching for..But I have to figure on a way to get to Kimbriki NSW  Near Taree....Its about an 1 and a 1/2 hrs drive from Newcastle Airport according to Travelmate.com....I may have to fly there and the people have volunteered to pick me up.....Hate to inconvenience them to much....Don't know  what else to do though.

What do NSW call a road worthy certificate......Anyone know?  There is  so much fooling around with paperwork  I think I'll be going greyer or have a heart turn.....I'v tried getting info from Vic Roads but  they keep me on hold so long...I thought I may ask you experts (Grey Nomads).......Transfer ownership from NSW to Victoria.....What is the procedure...Can anybody help

Can't help you with the road worthy side of things as we bought ours in Queensland, but I can tell you that if the Coaster has everything that you want and is in good nick, then you should be very happy with it.

Hope all goes well for you.

I just typed in "Toyota Coaster Motorhomes for sale" in Google when we were looking for ours and just checked out all the sites that came up.

Hope you find the right one!!

Hi Jimbo,

Good luck with the purchase... re the paperwork, roadworthy certificate etc, check with Vicroads ( I think that's what they call themselves in Victoria) as to their requirements as the stamp duty etc, etc, in NSW this will just about bankrupt you (don't start me!).  However I think that here in NSW it's mandatory that the vendor supply a Roadworthy Certificate (known as a "Pink Slip").  Check this out first by contacting the NSW RTA and make sure the vendor fills out all the necessary paperwork.   Also check with "REVS" (Register of Encumbered Vehicles) that the vendor has clear title (if buying privately).  Note that the registration certificate does not establish clear title.

Make sure you have an insurance cover note effective from the moment you take possession of the vehicle... You're most likely aware of these necessities but I mention them anyway.

PM me if you need any local info on Newcastle.

Jim

PS: The Princes Highway is a nice alterative to rushing straight back to BM via the Hume.

Hi Jimbo,
You could probably catch me at home on your way back, depending on the timing. I have to be in Syd for the "mothers day" thing then back home to the farm to round up cattle on Mon. I live about 65km out of Goulburn. You could PM me for details.
Cheers
Allara
