The Bundaberg Saga!!

Morning Everyone,

Well, we started out on Monday for a short break up to Elliott Heads out from Bundaberg, only to find that we had 'lost' about 3/4 of the oil in the 4wd - not good!!! Anyway, it appears that something has happened after having the turbo replaced about a month ago, but I have to say we have had really excellent service with RACQ here in Bundaberg, and trust us it helps to have the top cover ie Ultimate cover, and this morning is when hopefully we find out really what is going on with the car. RACQ have come to the party with arranging another set of wheels for us, which we will pick up this morning. Thankfully we were staying here for a week, don't know what would have happened if we were 'touring' with 'one night stands' or heading for The Cape or somewhere like that.

At least we will now be able to get around and 'see' Bundaberg and the surrounds.

Mind you, this caravan park out here at Elliott Heads is lovely and quiet, and we would highly recommend it to you all - right on the point with the beach on one side and the river mouth on the other - just lovely.

Will keep you posted for the next episode in our 'saga'!!

Hope they find a minor problem, easily fixing with not too much expense.  Am I asking for too much????    Oh well, those who don't ask don't get.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!

Hope all turns out ok .... actually, it always does in the end! RAVC took great care of me last year when I had 'reverse' problems. Best investment ever!
Cheers
Dianne

Just a dumb question.

I have NRMA in NSW, do I need to join the equivalent when I go Interstate?

Thanks

Motoring associations in each state have reciprocal services, so you will not need to join any other.  The NRMA is recognised all over the country.

I have RACWA classic cover and I am covered all over the country.

For travelling with a van you need to be on the top NRMA cover, that way you have the van covered as well. The benefits are available Oz wide.

However when you ring the Oz wide number you will be connected to the local organisation. They will only offer the basic benefits. What you do is to inform them that you have extended cover and you would like to contact tne NRMA. When I was in WA and looking for assistance the locals transferred me to the NRMA and informed them what was happening. I was transferred back and forth a couple of times, all on the one phone call cost.

You can recover your expenses later if you get someone to call the local organisation for assistance. However you need good records and it takes some organisation.
