We have now been full time nomads since March last year and the excitement has not abated one iota. So much has happened, so many new experiences and so many wonderful new and exciting people we have met on our journey.
We have been extremely fortunate that nothing major has gone wrong and we look forward to quite a few more years of exploration and excitement.
We did take possession of a brand new van a month ago. Thought we had the 'perfect' set up initially but experience has shown that what we thunk would be sufficient to be a permanent 'home' could be improved upon and so we have! I can now cook and bake in an oven, store things in a big fridge, do my own laundry - geez I sound like the hired help! Seriously we are rapt in the new caravan and have so much more space (even though it is only 2ft longer than the previous one).
This year we are spending travelling up the east coast, currently in Nelson Bay where we have been fishing to our hearts content. Lovely spot. Next stop Tuncurry.
Now Mr Rudd, stop playing funny buggers and help us self funded retirees!

Agree about the oven and washing machine and would not be without either. Dumped the microwave and fitted extra pot draw in some location in the new van. Extra pot draw is gold use everyday.
All comments are good, and taken on board - you can only use microwave when on power anyway. MikeMin, what brand caravan did you end up with. Have googled "2010 Retreat Hamilton" andnot had much luck. We are in planning stages, have only just changed our minds from 5th wheel to caravan

Hi Dunmowin, Retreat caravans do not advertise very much, they rely on word of mouth and the chatter between nomads such as ourselves. The best place to view the Hamilton would be to either access the website for 7th Street Caravans or to go to the Trading Post and have a look at the caravan section, just enter Retreat and you will see the range that Groper RV of WA have advertised. Let me know how you go.
