Tow Vehicle

To tow our (potential) 24' caravan with ease, we envisage we need similar to nissan patrol, 6 cylinder diesel. prefer to purchase older model, as in pre 2006 / low milage, so we get vehjicle without emmission control.

any nomads give me any hints on faults, known problems or recalls on these vehicles, or are their any othr suggestins about better vehicles

what we did we got all the specs of the A Van and rang the R.A.A told them what vehicle we had and they were able to tell us if the veichle we had was capable of towing the van worked out well for us just another avenue to look at. Helena.

Finding a good low milage 4.2 Nissan Patrol or 100 series Landcruiser would be a miracle. They are snapped up quickly at high prices.

Nissan Patrol 4.2 has the towing capacity but not the power.  LC 100 series with factory turbo would have the power.

Reason large s/h caravans are so cheap and don't sell because unless you buy a new LC 200 there are few other vehicles to legally tow, or legally tow comfortably.
