Just wondering if anyone has one of those nintendo dsi xl things with brain training on them. Thought it might be a useful travel game but don't know much about them.
Hey Pam, just letting you know that I have bought one for hubby for his birthday coming up - he loves Sudoko and I managed to get the game for that. Will get other games etc down the track.

I got one for Christmas from my husband and thoroughly enjoy it. I have the crosswords and sudoku. We sell at a market in SA and it passes the time for me as well as keeping my mind active.
When it comes to techie stuff I don't consider myself to be a Luddite in any way, but for crosswords and Sudoku I prefer pencil and paper (and a rubber, most essential). I'm hopeless at cryptic crosswords, also crosswords that involve a knowledge of celebrities and sportspeople etc.
Thank you Pam, I for got I had one of them.SMILE...Started playing it before going away.. Should have taken it with us..The problem is we are full on when there and dont get a lot of free time.. And Im the driver all the time, Bev can drive but not with the van on ,I did try that soduka on paper ..Mate I just love it , I too have to have a rubber..The grand kids play games on the thing all the time so it must be good... we are talking about nintendo right.. Good gear any how..Dont know if we can stay at home this winter yet..Starting to get bored all ready..and winter has just started...

Just thought I would mention that on looking at the pull-out for the Brisbane Caravan & Camping Show this coming weekend, thee is an exhibitor listed as 'Nintendo Grey Nomad' - not sure what it's about, but if I can get away from hubby for a few minutes I will check it out and let you know next week.

Can't afford the Nintendo, but got a mail-order catalogue today, that has a smaller one, [about the size of a Blackberry] that runs on Batteries, for around $40. Rang Dick Smith, and they have similar priced ones. I'll be getting one of those.
I hope to get one one day but will stick to the sudoku, kakuro puzzles with pencil and rubber a little longer. Interesting to read all the responses. Thats what is great about this site. All the different input.
Have been using my nintendo for about 6 months now and have got both Brain training and More brain training and two crossword programmes. Helps to fill in time occasionally.
