Come north Lilly. 26c here yesterday & 25c the day before & the day before that.
Went through my diary & we've only had 2 weeks since April where it's been below 5c, & of them 7 mornings were 2c & nothing below that.
Keep away from the centre this time of year. Got caught at Alice Springs one year & it was -5c every morning for weeks. Buggar of a place in winter.

If you are cold in your neck of the woods spare a thought for us here in the Sombrero nation. Actually need 2 sombrero's!!! Keep wrapped up, the shortest day has passed and it is down hill to spring. Only a month and a half away.

Terry.

Look, if it makes you feel better we are now seeing some glimpses of sunshine for the first time in 3 weeks in down town Cairns.
It hasn't rained for 2 days, but it's been cool and overcast all that time.
While it's not cold, it's not happily warm and sunny either.
It seems the entire country is experiencing crazy weather, full-on winter weather down south, even rain and cool times in Broome.
Batten down, and rug up. It has to get better.

It's cold & wet here today so we're staying in the caravan with the heater, a book, internet & some good music to keep us company.

BTW Lilly, what's the baby creature you have as your avatar pic?

Cheers

you have to work the seasons, here in our"winter", down south in the summer , when its bloody hot and humid here. I am going to Narooma, on the south coast to visit friends in December, and back here , NQ, at Easter, which, by the way is the same day as Anzac day.I hope this helps. Bill

Today we find ourselves in Katherine NT.  Sunny - minimum 14 degrees, maximum 30 degrees.  Sigh!!  I suppose nowhere's perfect.  In a couple of days it's Kununurra WA.  It's not all bad!

Wow Nick, you're very brave to tie down in Elliston. Lead boots are the prerequisite on the west coast.
In Ceduna I learned how to hang the washing out so it wouldn't tangle on the line to save wear and tear and ironing.
Lincoln not too bad except at the Kirton Point c/Pk where it's full on.
I'm going to try North Shields Park next time I'm over that way, and I'm sure I'll have to shelter behind something big.
Has anyone seen the sunshine? I'm sure it's out there somewhere, but it's not in Cairns, and hasn't been here for 3 or more weeks. It peeps out for about an hour or so some mornings, but the rest of the time it's overcast, and like today, drizzle, drizzle, drizzle.
Damn depressing! The upside is it's not cold - just depressing.
