The Start of Things to Come

Hi all, just touching base and letting you know that we head off in the morning on a five week adventure - with Crosby T. Bear of course - heading for Townsville, then out to Mt Isa, before turning south through Longreach to Charleville, and sadly for the time being, east to head back home north of Brisbane. With a bit of luck it will be the fore-runner to greater things (travels) in the New Year. Of course it goes without saying that we will be keeping 'executive' hours with our first day just up the road to Howard - can't rush these things you know, we will be on holidays, and taking 6 days to reach Townsville seems a nice leisurely 'stroll' to us, but it could also be tiring with a weeks stay there to recover - actually, we will be catching up with our daughter & son-in-law. Hope to see some of you on the road as we saunter along, we have a Grey Nomads sticker on the back of the van, along with our names - Pete & June. To all others on the road - safe travelling.

It's a hard life but someone has to do it friend just remember you are the only sane driver on the road and you will have a nice safe, happy and carefree trip.

All the best to you and half your luck.
