JUST A THOUGHT!!!

RE,    PEJAY,   19/7.

PEJAY, you were so close & it brings a thought to mind,  We wear a sticker on the rear of the vans/homes,which is good. BUT, in a c/van park etc, unless we are parked behind or beside another GN we dont see the rear of vans so much if we wonder around the park which brings me to this thought;; maybe we should have a GN sticker on the front of the vans/homes as well ?

I think we are a small minority compared to the numbers out there. It may help to make us more known as well. just a suggestion, any thoughts amoungst the forum?

I like many others run up the flag each morning so why not a GN flag / pennant under it. Not sure of a cost but shouldn't be all that much so long as we keep it simple

Problem with stickers is they mark most newer type surfaces or they are obscured by awnings or blinds

I think any method to make members more easily noticable is worth consideration

I have often wandered around the back of a caravan here in town to look for a GN sticker. Haven't found one yet.
I would have thought it would be easier to put it on the front windowscreen of your vehicle somewhere more noticable, down the bottom so not obscuring the view.

Argh, them's the breaks I guess - so near, yet so far - never mind, once we hit the road for good we just might catch up with you. The thought of the stickerssun visors  on the front sounds good. We have our Vietnam Vet stickers front & back and you have no idea how many people come up to us in caravan parks. So yes the stickers do work on the front of a vehicle or van.

Can you get knickers in Grey Nomad Colours to use as a pennant...will surely attract some attention atleast, and questions / answers will always follow..

This subject came up some time ago, and the concensus was we fly grey ribbons so we are recognisable from the front. I fly grey/silver ribbons on Rosy's aerial.
My sticker hasn't made it to the back of my van yet, but it's on the back of Rosy.
I realise we all try to keep some form of anonymity to protect ourselves against the not so honest web abusers, but some sort of hint of your origin on your profile would help us identify you.
Then when you're on the road keep us informed of your general direction.
I'm in email contact with a few members and catch up when we're in the same location.
There will be many others when I finally get back on the road again.
At the end of the day we can do what we like in the form of identification as a GN, but if our fellow campers aren't very observant they'll miss us.
Keep a keen watch out for fellow nomads. Fly the ribbons.

We have a nomads sticker on the front and back of both the van and the truck.  Also fly the colours.

Same with us Ma,
Ribbons on the aerial, sticker on back of Patrol and WHEN we get the van there will be one on front and back of that smile
