oh come on now its the best car going ,subaru are the only car we will drive even the family drive them ,weve had so many even had a vortek at one stage ,i love the wrx sounds sooooo nice coming down the road ,dunno about claytons four wheel drive, google subaru utubes and they can go places even i thought they wouldnt make ,we are members of the au subaru club and weve been places with the guys and have a ball.

but to each his own, i remember goin into the subaru dealer at maroochydore and was talkin to the guy in there, he said a subaru all wheel drive wont make it to the tip i was like i beg your pardon ,mate you shouldnt even be working in a subaru place if thats what you reckon

I love my Subaru, I've got a liberty and its great many years ago I used to have a brumby that my son gave me I had some great times in it, my daughter used to have a wrx she loved it but now she's got 2 kids it was a bit small so she had to sell it. I have no complaints about mine and I'm hoping that won't change when I start towing my new A'van sportsliner :)

great choice of vehicle and great choice of van.
Let the adventure begin. You will never regret it.

Only reason I no longer have my Forester, is the fact that I bought a Campervan, and can no longer afford to keep 2 Vehicles.

Cheers,
Sheba.

In my extended family there are a number Subaru owners who are very happy with them. However they don't tow or go "off road". I have another mate who owns a Subaru Tribeca that he tows a "mid size" van with and he's very happy with it.

Subaru engines are one of the best little engines built, Had one in my Gyro Copter and it never failed, a big smile, And the grandson has one ,no not a Gyro I wouldnt let him be that silly..The sports modle, and hes very happy with it.. Wouldnt want to tow a van with one could be a little bit slow...each for his own...Bob n Bev

we tow our jayco owl with it its one like the jayco finch but smaller version cos only one bed pops out one end, we towed home from pottsville nsw wouldnt have even known it was there, we have managed to convert so many people to subaru it crazy and they they have done it havent had a single person we know have anything bad to say about them .

the liberty isa nice car we are going to sell our subaru forey and our wrx and get a gt forester has a bit more grunt (so im told cos its turbo) .

hubby is going to be so upset when the wrx goes as he realy does love it but hes got ideas for his brumby going to lower it and has a fly wheel for it all kindsa stuff not so sure what he has planned for it but its going to be different i know that.

anyone with subarus that are close to brisbane area we are members of the subaclub if you wish to join we have some great events and lovely people.

The Subaru concept is one of "All Road", not "Off Road", though they do a reasonable job of the latter where not extreme.

My only real complaint, when I owned one, was the poor service provided by the distributing agent, now defunct, and the cost of replacement parts.

being a member of the subaru club is another great idea for spare parts there is always some one on the site who can tell you what theproblem is just by discussing it ,plus loads of people have spare parts my hubby is a collector of such things much to my disgust at times (lol)

but yep we have an extensive range of parts and such plus friends who are always there to help us out shame about the difficulty you had in your service provider .

still this can happen with many a car i had the same dealing with my hyundai excel when i was living in port mcq nsw had major dealings with a brand spanking new car and ended up so disgusted with the dealer ship i sold my car.

oh well such is life especialy with dealerships

Spent 7mths doing a trip from
Sydney to Port Pierre SA
thence the Stuart to Darwin
then over to Cooktown
and returned via the coast to Sydney

In a 2008 Subaru Outback towing a small Camper Van
some of the Hwys across the Qld topend are just
gravel track barely one vechile wide
Done  quite a bit of off road work to, so
they can certainly handle it
Well it never missed a beat all the way

Only gripp I have is that it is a automatic
with a dealer fitted towbar and transmission cooler
well lo and behold because of the cooler
you ca'nt fit a  standard bullbar

Finally got a alloy one fitted by SubaXtreme when they
where  based in Goulbourn (over $2 grand fitted )

The dealer knew what i intended to use the vechile for
and never said a word about the bullbar difficulties with a Auto.

Cheers

Coyotte
