I have gone into and registered with WOOTT. I do find it a difficult site to get around and haven't found a forum there as yet.
It seems to be for women who want to travel in same vehicle with a companion. Was hoping it would be more for women who want to travel in their own vehicles and catch up with others along the way for company. Not two together in the one vehicle.
Am I reading it wrong?

Cruising Granny has a link to a tag-along site on all her posts, this might suit you better.

I had a look also, your correct i think...i love company but prefer independance in travel...you never know when things may turn, new journeys and paths to travel that may not be of interest to the other....smile

Ummmm........I had a look at the site, but not for me, for a female lone traveller friend of mine who may have been interested (i'm male).

Could be a good thing, but remember that any details/photo's you post are able to be viewed by anyone on the net, members or not.

Just be carefull ladies, there are a lot of hackers/spammers/wierdo's out there!

Me too Happywanderer.  I don't think it's for me.

I prefer to travel alone and just meet up here and there along the way in tagalong style.

Looks like there are quite a few here who feel like this.

Hope to meet up with a lot of you on the road over time.

Cheers. smile

Sounds like a great site for the girls.  Great to have someone to travel with and eat out occasionally at a restaurant but oh the joy of freedom! Meeting up with people I am not expecting to meet along the way is a great buzz too. Had an incident at Gin Gin free camped where friends called me only to find out we were camped 50 feet away and may have passed like ships in the night but for their call.

It's all about safety first. The rest is up to you.
I'm not one for joining travel clubs.
Friends of mine are members of the Campervan and Motorhome Solos. They seem to have gatherings all over the country, and organise themselves into trips of one or two or bigger groups. Up to the individuals. Like all of this is.
I set up "tagalong" with my own travel experiences in mind, the my observations of couples who get a bit tired of each other's company day after day. Through the ozcaravantagalong.com they can decide how much of the trip they share, if they free camp or van park. It's very private with no personal details required, and no money changes hands.
Yes, that's right. It's abso-bloody-lutely FREE!.
We've had a few admin glitches recently, but as of yesterday they have been fixed.
This forum is also another way of finding travel companions in their own rig. There's more than one way to share the journey. Just do it safely.
