Hey, all, just bought our Baby Q last week in preparation for the big one. We also bought a small smoker box, in which you put pellets of smelly stuff, put it inside be weber and cook your meat. We tried it with a small chicken last week, the end product was that the meat was slightly pink and had a smoky flavour. Yum um.
Has anyone else got any suggestions for other smoked meals. (note, this is not a smoking box) Thinking of trying out a whole bbq snapper or similar - an suggestions before I go shopping?

OK, last night we had a whole snapper baked/smoked in the weber! Just scored the skin, and rubbed in butter/garlic/thyme, and in the cavity, a few slices of lime, couple of sprigs of parsley & thyme and the rest of the herbed butter. In the smoker box, I also added the contents a lemon tea bag to the pellets, but don't think they made any difference to the fish.
Regardless to say, this morning we are still talking about the beautiful smoked fish & chips that we had for dinner last night - 1.2kg fish fed Mr & Mrs Dunmowin, Son, and three grandies!
still looking for more ideas.
