We use blogspot (https://www.blogger.com/start) it was really easy to set up, although you could spend hours fiddling around with colours/fonts/layouts if you wanted. You sign up using your email address so you should never forget your user id, and if you forget your password they send an email to that email id.

We've found that if you are going to use photos in a post it is best to load the photos before starting to type the text, otherwise it does funny things with line breaks, but apart from that it is quick and easy to create new posts.

The blog address is www.youremailid.blogspot.com.

Hi,

I guess the safety for blogging is not to put anything too personal on it - would that be right? Has anyone had any adverse comments left or whatever? Have thought about it ourselves, but still a bit tentative with the computer stuff - but we're learning fast.

We've had some spam comments put up on our blog, we now have it set so that comments have to be reviewed and authorised by us before they can be posted, haven't had any problems since.

I used http://www.webs.com/ for mine but there are a plethora of them out there. I have not had any problems so far with comments but then again only friends know its there, friends including everyone on here of course.
