MINI CYCLONE IN ULLADULLA

Just got off the phone with my daughter.  She said the winds have been like a cyclone there earlier this morning.  The two storey house next door to her (a very large house I might add) has lost it's entire roof.

Lorraine has not got one tree left standing in her back yard and a branch came off a tree out the front onto her car.  The only things left standing are the palm trees and they are bent double.

Closer to our home (5 ks from my daughtger) - our house has no structural damage but a lot of debris around the yard and on the verandahs.  B.I.L. has lost some guttering and downpipes and my Mum hasn't ventured outside to have a a look at her place yet.

Other homes in our village have received structural damage in varying degrees.

The most important factor to date is that there have been no reports of injury.

yeah the winds have been shocking over night, we've had a black out here in bomaderry
all day, wishing i had full solar back up....
i have a huge tree at the back of my house which is holding up to the wind, so far so good....
I'd love to find out more on running my house with out intergral...
wonder how people are going in there caravans and motor homes..
and im not going any where...

Scary! And expensive. Cant trust the weather nowadays. Makes you worry when away from home.
Glad nobody has been hurt.

Wonder how the people in caravans at Ulladulla fared?

Don't forget to spare a thought for the poor buggers in Christchurch too, talk about things that go rumble bump in the night...

We had a fair bit of wind here overnight in Western Sydney also but nothing major that I am aware of..hope everyone faired OK and no major damages or injuries.

There's hardly any likelihood of there being power in Nowra either MIlo so they probably won't be showing any movies either

I hope the weather clears up soon Ma.

It's been a bit wild and wooly in Adelaide as well .................gale force winds the last couple of days..................and lots and lots of rain (not complaining about the rain ......we really need it down our way), mind you, there is a running joke in Adelaide that when the Royal Show is on...............you can almost guarantee lots of rain and no sunshine............wierdly enough you can almost set your clock by the weather for the show............lots of rain..............gale force winds..............and yet....each year record crowds are recorded...............it just goes to show I suppose............that when people are determined you have a bit of fun and relaxation..........there is not stopping them..............thank goodnes!!!!!!!!
