Hello to all Forum Folk Had a great day today at Monsoon's in Darwin, meeting new people, debating with many and having a drink with too many probably but the object of the exercise was the AFL Grand Final,or one of them.It seems we can still have more than one in any given year. ( did think it had been changed)We're going to do it all over again..a draw!!..blimey teddy,it was nearly enough to put paid to my plans for good. The League really needs to look at the current process and change accordingly, under the present scheme we could theoretically have 2 or 3 "one" day's in September(heaven forbid. We could still be having rematches at Xmas) Whoever you support, isn't it it is ludicrous not to have a result on "the one" day?. I'm a Magpie person, but it matters not. This is about the Game. Well done Saints and Pies (and how do the players feel). Just needed to say something, thx for your ears. Cheers David

The almighty dollar, but do the supporters get a free entry next week, saved all year and probably can't afford it again so close. Interstate travellers and businesses are all affected by a ridiculous situation. The AFL has shown its delight and I'm sure will improve their purses as well. So at the end of the week the wrong crowd turn up, the corporate freeloaders and the deserving, those that can't will be burnt forever. The AFL has shown it's true colours, adapted to tv demands, allowed players to continue playing the game that should have been barred for life. Lift your game AFL and recognise when you are wrong.
sorry you guys we will have to cancell our Get together at the MCG this saturday apparently there is a re run of a footy game, what a sham AFL the big game on the last day of September ( or october or november ) I feel sory for 100,000 people that have to if they can offord it to go back again, interstate fans travelling back, think of all the people that will make money out of this. hope they do something for the supporter, be interested to see how many they get for the next game, is this the only game that does not have extra time,
currently in Bowen

I agree (in fact I couldn't care less, likewise Rugby League), but try to tell that to those from south of the Murray!!
PS: Howdrink, whereabouts in Bowen (for future reference). Last week stayed at a park on the highway just south of the town. The owners were that miserable (and grumpy too) they had 5 minute timers fitted to the showers.

Not sure how long you normally spend in the shower, jimricho, but Melbournites these days would consider a 5 minute shower the height of decadence!

Technomad, No there is no free entry to the 2nd. final. Another lot of tickets go on sale early next week. The AFL will make a cool $7million for the extra grand final!!
Cheers,
Thommo.

Touch'e, Jimricho. Not sure I spelt it right. Keeps the site alive doesn't it. Some take things a little seriously. Reminds me of the time I used to bait Dave and Basil, great contributors but a little over the top. See ya next subject, great here in Torquay but can't wait till it's warmer. Bye, Graham.
Are you in Torquay Vic Technomad? Must be in the caravan park in Bell Street, you must try the cafes and bakery next door. I practically live there as my other home in the units on the corner. Rellies own the block.
