Bulli isn't a nice road I don't reckon.

HaHa on the divorce Ma, strewth she even questioned if I had parents, talk about all downhill (bulli pass i mean)
we came out on another road just south of Corrimal, Mount something road, then onto the Hume Hwy, and yes we are home. alls well and planing another trip to Corrimal then on down the coast towards Melbourne.

Bulli's a tad steep, but then so are a lot of other roads to the coast. Do you use the Clyde very often Ma?

Quite regularly Gerty. We have never had any problems. You just need to drive to the conditions at the time and to your own capabilities and there shouldn't be any trouble at all. I know there are a lot of people who avoid it at all costs and I guess it just gets down to personal choice.

For us it's OK.

Ma - the Clyde and Bulli Pass have the same maximum gradient - 1 in 8. The biggest problem with Bulli is you MUST be able to come to a full stop at the bottom because of the T intersection.

Camberwarra down into Kangaroo Valley is another one to travel with caution.

The Robertson Pass is scary. Wouldnt dare go there with a van on behind!

Its still not entirely sealed, but we've been over the Braidwood to Nowra Road a couple of times and it wasnt very steep. Will be an excellent road once its all sealed. Less fun if its raining and they are doing roadworks as we found out last time! (Lotsa mud)

I think what you called the the Robertson Pass is mainly known as the Jamberoo Road. Last time I was around it there were signs warning you not to take vans along it.

The work on the road through Sassafras is proceeding well. When finished it will provide the best gradients between the coast and the tablelands. I used to travel that road in my old E20 with only one excursion down into 2nd gear when it was mostly gravel. For progress see this link - Sassafras Road.
