Imagine if the *GOVERNMENT* gave all of us the same support they give to other
countries.

Rob and I were watching tv the other night, ACA there was a young fella and his mum on. The son had a disorder and they needed money to upgrade their bathroom, plus he needed medical attention. One of the big banks donated money and several tradesmen offered their services to help. The point being Australia is giving away $millions to Pakistan, and other countries when we have Aussies unable to afford basic things. Wake up Australia! lets look after our own first. Sure help out when needed but make sure our own people are looked after too.

CG. That is how the world is. Saw a thing on 7.30 tv tonight abc, That the pakistan army wave the taliban through the border post after they have been resting up in pakistan some place..
plus the afgan. army and the police there have phantoms , that only turn up on pay day..
Its a no win with them, sorry but thats how it is now.. If I was a young chap from there I would be fighting the taliban, not running to Australia. I feel sorry for the girls with what they have to wear. they live in the 1700. The place is a joke. It also said that the goverment there is a criminal org. not a goverment..and our your people are getting killed for this????....

WE could go and live in these countries and get all the great benefits must be great getting all those hand outs, pity we have to live in australia and not be looked after by our own government

I think it best for all concerned that I take my views to a forum that suits the topic.

It was a suitable post for this forum as it is a subject that sparks interest to grey nomads as much as to any other caring person
Most of us don't have a problem with the post as it is something Chris wanted to tell us about, & Ma has a perfect right to her opinion since the subject was raised, so ignore the detractors Ma.
Just because the subject touches on the 'political' doesn't mean it shouldn't be on here. Even caravaners rights, like free camping & special licenses to tow vans etc can be political & that doesn't stop us posting it here.

Like the heading said, "Food, or not, for thought".
Like everything else in this world, take whatever information you want and leave the rest, in everything.
It's not compulsory to agree, or disagree.
And let's keep it that way.

Just because I posted it doesn't mean I believe it, although there may be an element of truth in these things.
It's got you all thinking, and that's a good thing.
When we live in caravan nomad utopia we will all go to our corners, put a bag over our head, put plugs in our hears and hope no one invades our space and intellect.
What do you discuss around the camp fire? Golf, bowls, cricket, fishing gear, recipes, astronomy, the weather - what?
