new camp spot

Just thought I would let you know there is a new camp spot at Binnaway was built in Feb this year it states 48 hour stop but the volunteers who manage it told us that you can stay longer if you want to providing you take care with what is there. They have hot showers 6 minutes for $2 and power $1 for 3 hours all on meters. water available as well also electric B.B.Q not sure if you have to pay for that or not. very friendly local people. It will be in the camps 6 book that will come out next year. It is off the Oxley Highway just past Coonabaraabran in N.S.W. Hopes this helps.  Helena.

There are so many good free camp sites out there we travelled for 4 months and only called in at 2 caravan parks in that time. We relied on the camps 5 book Helena.

May be worth copying and pasting your post to the Free/Budget Campsites Suggested by our Contributors section of the Forum. If you do suggest mentioning Binnaway in the title to help find it in future.

NSW is the first state you come to when you cross the border into Australia after leaving Victoria heading north.

Shhhhh.... don't tell the Victorians though, they not only think they're in Australia, they think they are Australia!  winkwinkwink
