Apologies for intrusive ads

Hi Everybody,
I just want to apologies for the intrusive ads that have been appearaing at the top of forum page of late. As some of you may know, a third party hosts our forum page and so we have had no control over the ads put there. Clearly, what we are getting now is unacceptable and we are working as quickly as we can to get things changed. In the meantime, pease be patient and please continue to enjoy the forum. Just try not to be distracted by the ads at the top and don't click on them. Apologies once again.

I like the one that says "how intelligent are you"... I guess most of us are intelligent enough not to click on it... lol

Thanks for the advice. It seems the promotions and competitions are only relevant to the US.
I'm guessing the host is in the US.
You can request the hosts to block that on your site.
You can attract paid ads for your benefit if you want them.

Thank you Cindy, I see your problem. If nothing else, age has brought us patience, so we shall attempt to ignore the adds for the immediate future & focus on the eluminating discussions just a scroll away.

cheers
Jon

I've learnt to ignore them so well now, I hardly notice them any more. Thats the truth. When I started to read this thread I thought. Oh Are they still there and went back for a look.

I hardly ever notice the ads apart from when someone puts up a post complaining about them. Whenever I go into a post I immediately scroll down so the post wording is at the top of the screen, most of the time the ads don't get a chance to even come up.

I got so used to them and learnt to ignore them that I didn't even realise they had gone..............good not to have things flashing before your eyes isn't it
