Sorting out the mail problem

Hi, My Wife and I are hitting the road in Jan/Feb 2011 for however long it takes to see all of Aus. Can anyone give advice on the best solution to getting our mail sent to us?

Welcome to you both.

There has been many discussions on this subject over time and just as many answers.

Might I respectfully suggest that you do a "search" (up the top there) and put in something like "mail forwarding" or similar.   I am sure you will find all the answers you could ever want and then of course it will be deciding which avenue suits your needs.

Good luck and safe travels.

Welcome No More Clocks to our forum.

If you go back to the grey nomads website, which hosts this forum, go to the "our sponsors" link - there is a link to information about "Post Haste" My GN brother has been using them for the past three years and has had no problems. I will be signing up with them next year.

I believe there are other similar services.  As Ma says, also, this subject has been discussed on the forum previously, so use the search feature to see what has already been written.

There's always a reliable relly (family member) who could handle your mail.
My daughter has been my postage handler for more than 3 years. I send her pre-paid bags and she sends my mail when it's worth sending. eg fortnightly or monthly.
I do most of my banking on this gadget, pay my bills by B/pay, and my phone bill is electronic and I pay them that way as well.
The junk mail will always find you, but it doesn't count.
I'm sure your research will find a solution for you.

Hey No More Clocks, which way are you heading in Jan/Feb? We too will be a case of 'no more clocks' from 16 dec - yeh!!! Maybe, just maybe might see you on the road, to start with we will be heading from Brisbane to Townsville for the birth of our first grandchild - then at around the middle of April hightailing it down to Canberra for the birth of our second grandchild - and we thought retiring was going to be a case of taking it easy!!!!!

Hi "no more clocks"

We are using the company Pass the Post. we have found them very good - but have had to chase up Australia Post twice for not forwarding mail to them for us!
