RE: PICK THIS PLACE

I am away from my computer but I think it is the one with a woman on the other end and I did not get a very good photo.

Thank Bill B.

Just not that long ago at the beginning of the month we had a awesome lunch experience, I asked a fellow traveller how were the roads, when we both realised we knew each other from way back. His is from down there further and we way up there.

Where are we?

There is a caravan park down the road.

The reason I spoke with this person was to get information on the flood water further north. It was really good timing for us to be wandering about out there as it was green from the rain they had experienced of late. To see it in  this state was great.

I just love travelling about.

Good Morning All.

Bill B hi.

Sometimes I think that PTP is losing interest but all of a sudden 2 or 3 photos go  very quickly.

Any way I like to try and keep my bit up as I have learnt so much from the photos people have shared with us.

Coonamble NSW it is over to you Bill B.

I reckon it is in Bundaberg, the Museum / House of the famous flyer, Bert Hinkler.

Relating to slow answers etc, I sometimes do not open my computer for over a week, more recently it was three weeks!

I guess I have so much to do and accomplish even tho' retired, or on trips somewhere or simply do not want to face the junk pushed through theses days. Of course this Form AND this part of the forum, along with other sections of it, is a in reality a HIGHLIGHT.

I learn heaps about places and people through all this, just love to get to meet the contributors other than by electronic media.

Are you still in Qld. Dunmowin?

When I'm home I look at PTP everyday. Sometimes there are quite a few in a row I don't know, or someone else beats me to it. Sometimes I know I'll be busy and don't want to hold things up so don't answer. When away I can be without internet for quite some time. Sometimes when things are quiet, especially when I have a photo up I'll follow the counter to see how many people have looked, so at least I know others are looking at the photo. Cheers.

Sorry team, having issues with laptop, thought had answered BillB. Yes just north of Ellis Beach. Did you know that a scene from pirates of the Caribbean was filmed here...dont think this little beach has a name, so Ellis Beach has it.

Where to now BillB

Gaylehere, yes. Still in North Qld

Thank you Bill B,

I have been a bit preoccupied, needed to return home from our lastest wander, just a fact of life.

Anyway back to the lighter side of life.

Where is my lady standing viewing this art?

Gaylehere, just to fill you in, the croc is actually a Kronosaur, and it is out the front of Kronosaurus Corner (should be spelled with a k but auto correct wont let me.), the exceptional dinosaur museum at Richmond. Well worth a visit. It is sitting in a water feature, as a marine dinosaur, but the mushroom thingy is actually one of Richmond and the surrounding areas famous Moon Rocks. These rocks when split open often contain fossils. Just wanted to give you the info so you could Google it if you wanted.

Thanks all for the information above. Appreciated.

Radar, you are in Gunnedah. Funny thing, we're looking at doing a bit of tripping around country northern NSW next month and the Gunnedah Water Tank was on my list of "to see" things together with the silos at Barraba, and water tanks at Gulargambone and Coonamble. Haven't seen any of these before. Looked at a NSW silo and water tank site this morning. Cheers.

Hi Gaylehere, well we canot disagree with all that. Gunnedah.

Gunnedah RV Park and at Coonabarabran Get Away, there is freedom camping about but these 2 are the ones we stayed the other week.

Porcupine Lookout, Senior's Lookout in Gunnedah.

Where are taking us?
