Dusting the cobwebs off the van and heading to Anglesea for the weekend. Looking forward to spending some time with good friends and relaxing. If you are in the area, happy hour at the bowling club from 4.30pm, barefoot bowls followed by a bbq.
Hi Sandra K. "Sorry" we couldn't catch up as we are up on the Sunshine Coast. Did anybody from the forum catch with you guys at the bowling club. "Just woundering" Cheers Mick
No, didn't catch up with anyone from the forum but there is a group of us that take regular short breaks, so we were not lonely. Bowling was heaps of fun and we were made to feel very welcome at the bowling club. I would recommend visiting any of these types of clubs whilst travelling. They are usually pretty friendly and another good source of information on the area that you are visiting. Is it still raining on the Sunshine Coast?
Hi Sandra, We have just return home from Sunshine Coast "yes" plenty of rain up that way, was still coming down when we left. "Now" I can tell you my new invention that save water from the top of the roll-out annex which is directed to the 3 water tanks. works magnificently. Exactly, the water was running out through the overflow pipes on the other side of the caravan. So yes we had plenty of rain. On the 8th Dec we are heading to Melbourne for Xmas and then onto the Australia National Caravan clubs Rally at Elmore Victoria. So as of yesterday Melbourne has had heaps of rain and the weather could be anything. cheers Mick
Over this rain Mick. It is great that the tanks, dams, lakes and reservoirs are filling but would REALLY like to dry out a bit. The rally sounds good. I am sure there will be lots of info on this site so will keep a look out for it. Have a good time. Cheers Sandra
