Sitting here supping on my first home brew of the evening, as per my new avatar, and was wondering if many others make their own? I would be particularly interested if anyone brews it while they are travelling? I guess you would have to stop in the one place for about 8 days. I have been making mine for about 38 years, and when we head off I usually pack as much as possible into broccolli boxes. (30 stubbies per box = 1/2 a brew, 17 cents per stubbie) I could just ditch the boxes and the bottles but I usually wash them out repack them and bring them home to refill. Have only had a few bottles explode usually on dirt roads, but when taking it from the box to the fridge, as a precaution, I always wear glasses. (probably couldnt find the fridge otherwise) lol Cheers and Beers - Pete

If there is such a thing as a tourist season.... why cant we shoot them?
We have met several who brew their own beer on their travels, there were a couple from W.A. in a big blue bus with an old caravan remade into a "car trailer". They had their little car, and toolshed and a kitchen where they brewed their home brew in it!

Mate, this has been covered before and brewing on the move is easy. if you are using glass bottles change to plastic as soon as you can.not are they lighter but on the odd chance they explode(i have never had this happen)no glass anywhere. Good brewing and travelling Jack.

Apart from the obvious home brewing of beer, has anyone gone to the next step for non beer drinkiers, brewing/making/distilling their own spirits. I do at home but have not yet tried whilst on the move. Paul

Yes I distill at home but not on the move, as management is still working part time we can take enough for our trips up to a month. I have also brewed lots of wine, though with the price today its hardly worth the bother...
