On a serious note, I will chat to anybody, anytime on any subject and happy hour for us is just a social gathering to meet and hopefully make new friends.

We don't care whether your teetotal, smoke or not as long as you have a tongue and can chat you are welcome.

Whilst I enjoy a beer at happy hour I can honestly say I have never got drunk during happy hour, I spend too much time talking and laughing to get the beer down my neck.  I have always wondered why some simply cannot enjoy themselves without alchohol.

PS:- Edited for a couple of typo's.

Ma, do you mean Vitamin B1. I've been taking it every summer for the last 3 years, doesn't seem to make much difference.. Have just got rid of about 8 bites from talking to the neighbour outside about a week ago. They last a good 4 days and drive me nuts.
But I do find if I eat garlic every day I don't get so many.

I don't see any difference whether its a cuppa tea or a bottle of water, Happy hour is a get together to have a chat, not have a beer, unless of course that is your drink of choice.

Best line I ever heard was in the pub many, many years ago when a young bloke takes his drink over to a table occupied by a couple of pretty young things and dropped some ice on the floor, he then crushed it with his foot and Said "Now that the ice is broken between us how about a date?"

Guess what? he got lucky that night.

Yes Shell felt the same when first started caravanning - but now everyone seems to talk so easily - not sure if it is because I am getting older or maybe I am more relaxed - a big friendly smile ususally breaks the ice.
Not worry about the non drinking - hubbie doesn't drink and we did feel uncomfortable when younger - but now who cares - most people don't care its not about consuming lots of alcohol but just friendship and good conversation. Yes I do drink and enjoy my wine immensely!!!!
Cheers

Happy hour is one of the best times of day in a CP, so if you see us around 4pm dont wait for an invite just bring youur chair and join us.

using camp kitchens is a great way to have a chat. it's amazing how long it takes to do the dishes sometimes.

We find other couples/singles love to chat more than 2 + cars who are travelling together.

Its a matter of setting your self up to be approachable. if you have your chair facing outwards you are more likely to get chatting than if you are facing the other way.
Just go for a wander and see what happens is the best approach
