Wuruma Dam - North of Eidsvold - Midwest Qld - inland from Bundaberg

Has anyone been here?  I understand that it is a free camp on the Wuruma Dam.  Management and I are heading off up there, probably for about 10 days during the first part of the school hols.  What I really need to know is, do you camp right on the water's edge?.  The reason I need to know this is, if we camp on the water's edge, I can leave the boat trailer at home, if not, I take the trailer and launch the boat as required.  Cheers pete

lake Waruma is 30 odd ks nw of Einsvold, and the last time I was there, there was free camping by the lake, but few facilities. No mobile coverage, but barras, yellowbelly, bass and silver perch in the lake. You need a stocked impoundment licence to fish there.Haven,t been there for a few years, so thing might have changed. I hope this helps you.
