Isn't it great to have Test Cricket back especially against our buddies the Pommies. I love the Test series Anybody else agaree ..Even more so because at the Marsh (Bacchus)we have had over 70 mm of rain in two days..I love it ..My pool is over the top .Missed Bowls again...Thats Pennant in the Ballarat League for those of you that don't know .........Lawn Bowls that is!

I always leave my camping area cleaner than I found it.
Much prefer the 20/20's Jim or the Day Nighters. I find the tests a bit slow.
Talking of lawn bowls, we were in Wagga yesterday at the RSL club and they had the finals of the schoolboys bowls on at the time.
They are a very professional lot of young lads and very courteous. It was well worth watching. Also good to see the young ones "having a go". I think the eldest of the lot would have been about 15.
I believe NSW is the only state which takes bowls seriously as a school sport. It's great to see the young ones coming up in a sport which has been considered the "old farts" sport since time began. It's really quite scientific. The cricket is always good to watch, especially when it's at home. Today I took my grandson 10 to Maitland, SA to start cricket game at 0830am. We had to get up at 6 am, drive for the best part of 2 hrs to get there on time. And although it rained most of the night, and most of the way, it was dry for the game. They didn't win but the standard was fairly high for primary school boys and girls. More sundries than runs on the score board, scored by wides which could have been 2 bounces and a long roll along the pitch before reaching the batsman. Out there and doin' it, just like the GN's.

Hi Jim, "Yes" we both love the cricket and the pommies won't be easy beats. I think Rick Pointing will have his hands full trying to rechive the ashes mate. Hope we catch up at Elmore Jim as we will (Hopefully) have a idea how the Aussie are travelling. cheers Mick
One of my neighbors died while watching test cricket on TV... I couldnt work out whether the excitement was too much for him or he was bored to death!! Poor bloke was only 63 too, sad.
