My wife and I are off on the road again on Friday - heading for Victorian civilisation. As we normally do, we contacted Telstra to add the $10 Data Pack. I was aware that the allowance had gone from 150 to 200Mb but .......... as of 20th Nov your $10 buys a magnificent 1Gb. I think that that is pretty good value for money. Please let me know if there is anything that I have missed in the small print!! Cheers, Calum"
This was on the Caravaners Forum. There was more info, but this was the original post.
Sheba, We have just transferred all our communication from Optus to Telstra, mainly due to the fact that Optus does not have a good reception in Tasmania. We will be in Tassie for 9 weeks early next year or should I say next month. We are paying $ 29.95 for a mobile USB port for our lap top. Big difference in $$$. However the Teslstra deal on our house line, Broadband, 2 mobile phones and the laptop works out $40 a month cheaper than Optus, plus all local calls free and STD calls $1 unlimited 24/7. Jay&Dee
telstra definatly has the range ,i use my usb, mostly on 3 gig amonth but i alsu use it to live stream my radio show, that i do each week, only just started the live streaming ..
check out my radio show site if wanted i play mostly pop/rock ,from 60's to today on our community fm station
We have just changed from Internode ADSL 5GB per month $39.95, to Telstra wireless 7GB. plan $39.95 per month if you have a telstra home phone line . So now when we are at home use wireless and when we are on the road we take it with us and are not paying double when on the road . In the past still had to pay for home ADSL for home will on the road and not using it and paying for Pre Paid internet while on the road now only paying once not twice
Sorry MA, should have put more there but was not sure if it was true. Today I can say it is went to a telstra shop and we now have 1 gig data pack for 10 bucks.. vir the phone as modem.. runs at 7.2Mbps . that will do for now...good one telstra ,you finely got something good going.... In Burnie and it works very well........

Is that correct, you only need to have a telstra landline to get the deal or do you need to have at least two services with telstra ie: mobile and landline
