I can tell you it was a shock when they announced that the Belvedere Caravan Park was up for possible redevelopment,we live there!! We retired a few years ago and bought our little house thinking we would be here for years to come even though in the back of our minds we knew that one day it could happen. We are one of only two caravan parks close to the town centre, beach, shops, coffee, great resturants and the best foreshore and waterways. The parks here are all privately owned so as they get sold off for possible development(they don't always follow thru and the land sits vacant for years)one would think the Mandurah council would buy at least one of them so tourists still had somewhere to go.There are still some good parks here but not so close to town.We are still waiting to see what will happen here,we are at stage 3 of 7 stages the owner has to go through we are getting less than half the price we paid for our homes!!!!
