Back on IE browser, and today all Pics are back to Red Crosses.  I'm really fed up with this.

Cheers,
Sheba.

Do you have a virus checker?

When was the last time you did a FULL virus check?

How long have you had your system?

Have you ever updated the Graphic's Driver?

What size is your hard drive?

How much free space do you have on your hard drive?

As HW suggested I think it's time to take it to a tech to have it looked at, it's very hard to try to fix it through the forum, really needs somebody at the keyboard of your system, it should not be showing pics one day and not the next.

Sheba I have tried over a number of years all the browsers. I Finally settled on Opera Version 10.10. I have had not one ounce of trouble since using it.

Are you able to make the Basil pic smaller and then repost here?

Diff web site have diff specs for sizes, perhaps your original pics are too big, would be worth a try to resize them and repost here to see what happens

were you able to see the pic you posted of your drawer setup in HW congrats topic?

Haven't looked at the Congrats.  thread yet, but last night I could see it on both browsers initially, then not on IE.

Have tried downsizing, but was told [when went to recommended size], that it was still too big.  Couldn't be bothered trying that again.  Waste of time.

I can see the latest Basil Pic. quite clearly tonight.   I love what you're doing with it.  Saving them all.

Cheers,
Sheba.

Hi Sheba,

It really could be something to do with the size, your first post the pic size is 193.02 kb, after I play with the Basil pics I resize them to 25.29 kb.

have a look at my recent post of our 2010 trip in Generals section and see if you can see them.

100_0075.jpgSee them all fine Wombat.  How do you re-size ?  Trying something different now, which obviously didn't work.

Cheers,
Sheba.

100_0075.jpg

Just downloaded PIXresizer.  Now I'll see if I can work it.  Alrready tried a couple of others tonight.  Some I tried to Download wouldn't, no matter what I did.

Here goes.

Well that didn't work.     I've downsized the pic. to 25%, and I still can't see it.

Can't even copy and paste it.

Cheers,
Sheba.

I can see the trees pic, I can also see the small 25% pic, I resize withn PaintShop pro.

I also use this free program FastStone Photo Resizer 3.0 get a copy here http://www.faststone.org/

It just hit me, you are trying to uplaod a .jpeg file and according to Sharing Photo site 1st post you can only upload .jpg .bmp .gif files.

Put your basil pic to your desktop, right click it and select rename, change the .jpeg to .jpg don't forget the dot, then post in here.

Not sure if the above will work as you can upload your pics cos I can see them, it's just that for some reason you cannot see them, but the above is worth a try.

As it's only this site that you are having probs with, have you thought of asking Cindy if she has any idea, perhaps she can contact the site's admin.
Could be worth a PM to her.

Now I can see the last Pic I posted Wombat.   Did you do anything to it ?  No of course not. You can't edit my Posts.  I really don't understand what's happening here.  Couldn't see it last night.

Am I giving you a headache yet ?

I thought all my Photos were .jpg.  How do I change them please ?

Sorry,
Cheers,
Sheba.

Did you try changing the .jpeg file to .jpg?

Did you contact webmaster Cindy and ask her advice?

How do I do that Wombat ?  When I uploaded, they uploaded as .JPG and I could see them Last night, but today they're back to red xxx's.

I aked Cindy a long while ago, but she couldn't help.

One more problem has arisen lately.  When I try to read, or edit a post, the page I go to is 1/3 rd longer than it should be, and I have to slide it along, to read the whole Post.

Why does that happen ?

Cheers,
Sheba.

When I right click a pic to get info it says your pics are JPEG , but having said to change it I changed one of mine to JPEG and it still loaded here, I am scratching my head. lol

Only option I can see now is take your pooter to a tech so that he/she has hands on and can maybe sort it for you, very strange that it is only on this site and only your pooter.

The scrolling along the bottom, thats because somebody has posted a large pic or text and it oversizes the page, I get it sometimes so it is not your pooter, just the site page being streatched.

How do I change from .JPEG to .JPG ?    I'm giving up trying to download  the Flashplayer.  Been trying nearly 2 hours,  and getting nowhere.  Wasting time and money.  Might try after 11 PM.

Cheers,
Sheba.

That doesn't work Wombat.  It won't even Paste on to the desk-top.  Just brings up a box Giving details of 2 identical Files, and asks if I want to replace one with the other.

Cheers,
Sheba.
