Hello all. Happy new year! Still in the South East housesitting. Will be up at the Sunshine Coast for 3 weeks from the 14th January. I was intending to upgrade in size to a Sprinter, but have been to a conversion place and am now thinking about a coaster. As i will be using it for town travel as well, I am thinking that a SWB would be better in size.....looking for one to convert or already converted, but they aren't easy to find.... Can I ask you what your opinion of this choice? Would love to hear from anyone who has time. Bye for now Christine
Yes, A LWB would be great for space, but just can't imagine trying to drive it around town...... Was told by the Conversion place in Brissie that you can still have a double bed as well as a separate table and seat. Just so few of them around. When I go to the Sunshine Coast I will go to the Conversion place up there and talk to them as well.
I have a Hi-ace like yours, and to make more space and storage room, converted the bed to a 3/4, and bought some 4 Drawer Plastic Drawer Units, which fit down the side perfectly. Am going to buy another Unit, but make it 3 drawer only, so it will fit under the shelf at the end of the sink, instead of the baskets.
If you PM me with your e-mail address, I'll send you some shots, so you can see what I mean.
You can access the 4th. drawer, by taking out the 3rd. one. They slide in again easily.
I'll try and Post one now, but I've been having problems lately.
Well that seemed to work this time.
Cheers, Sheba.

Hi Christine, Whatever you decide to buy SWB/LWB the main criteria is your decision about the amount of room and what accessories you require.Moving up from a Hi-Ace to a Coaster is a big jump in the scheme of things.Still able to drive on a car licence though. The Hi-Ace will fit into most parking bays in shopping centre etc.The Coaster is a different matter.Basically a trade off in room against accessibility. I drive a 7.6 Metre Man RV towing a Suzuki Grand Vitara.Overall around 12 metres long.It does pose problems looking for places to park in towns and shopping malls but the trade of in the extra room to me is worth it. I may have to park five minutes down the road but we do have legs and I must admit I do need the exercise too. I hope that your search is fruitfull and you find something that suits you and are happy with. Enjoy your travels. T
wannabenomad. Please keep posting about your search for your coaster L or S I am also looking for a coaster L or S good ones are hard to find.Good luck Norma.
Okay Norma.... Will do. I am going to stop panicking. Currently my Hi-Ace serves me well enough for what I need it to do, but if one comes up I will definitely look at it. Maybe at the Sunshine Coast (going there next week) I will see something. Have lessons to learn about trying to have everything NOW...... Well, bye for now Christine
