Hi Brickies, no probs, just trying to make it easy for newbies, I think picture's are easy to follow. Just in the process of doing one for posting picture's in the Shareing Photo's topic. brickies wrote:

Yes wombat got a copy for myself, noticed you were using that one again and thought, You cheeky devil, will be in trouble again. Glad its all ok. Yes knew there was a Techies Corner, thats why I mentioned it.
Hi HW, I PM'd Cindy and got the ok. as long as there are no links, and there was no links on the original, I think the confusion was with the .com although it does look like the member's who did complain did so without clicking on the .gif file to see if there was a link and we all know there never was a link.
so you can use you one if you want to

There is an easy way to insert links. However it is a convoluted process to get to it. If you are just putting an answer in a thread (quick reply,) as soon as you put your cursor into the answer panel at the bottom the panel enlarges. If you want to include a link you have to click on the "Advanced Editor" button at the bottom. This brings you to the Advanced Editor that Wombat showed. However you will notice the "Inert/Edit Link" button is greyed out for some reason. If you remove the tick in the box next to "Use Advanced Editor" at the bottom you get a reduced set of buttons at the top but there is a button to insert a link amongst them.
When you do get access to this feature you will find it is better than most forums have. When you click on it you get a box to insert your URL (either type it or copy/post it) When you click on the OK button below you get another frame where you can insert the title of your link (if you do not insert text here, when you click on the second OK button the link text will be the whole of the URL you inserted.) If you have a very long URL for your link make sure you have a good title for it so there is a reasonably short length link and not many lines of it (for example when you insert a link for a google map) - for example click on this and see the length of the resulting URL
