The previous Front Page story was about the problems caused by "freedom campers" in NZ defecating in their beautiful bushland. Who wants that in the street?

Sorry Jimbo, I agree that the contribution to local economies from campers might help some businesses along, but somebody has to be paid to clean up after them and the councils (ratepayers) have to foot the bill for it.

Is littering still punishable by a fine in Australia? If not, why are messy campers not fined more often?

If self-contained campervans were clearly marked perhaps they aught to be be allowed to stay.
