RE: woolies?

I know Aldi isn't Aussie either, but their prices ARE really so much lower. The brands aren't what we're used to, but still good quality. My d-i-l does the bulk of her shopping there, and the baby stuff is a great price. Also toys, books. The only thing I don't particularly like is their fruit and veg are pre-packaged, (all that extra plastic) but a lot of the others are doing it now anyway.

I'm also lucky to have a large Foodworks nearby. They often have good specials.

I got a cheap Napisan from Aldi to use in the van. Only paid between 2.50 and 3.00 for it. Can't remember exactly.

There are certain things I buy from there which are better and cheaper than anywhere else.

Their sao crackers are only 1.09 and much nicer than woolies.
Their Olive Oil is really nice called The Olive Tree, comes in 3 strengths. I get the delicate. 100% Aus grown olives.
their flyspray is only 1.99.
There is a 2 litre of fruitjuice for only 1.99. Called Vitamin something. I get it for the price and the taste as a good variety in it.
And I will buy their salmon sometimes, 2 pieces in a pack for about 7 - 8.00. It NZ salmon.
Will buy some of the fruit and veges if at a good price.
In the freezer section there is Pastry Chef Spinach and riccota triangles for somewhere between 3 - 4.00

I buy the Aldi nappies for orphan lambs, so they can come in the house and keep warm at night.

Sorry the pics are a bit blurry.

Darling water is free and lot better for your health and well being. Alcohol is a poision that kills the organs. Why not respect your body and life. You're dead a long time and dont get a rerun.

The price of bananas aside, Woollies is my pick of the supermarkets too.

Can't wait for the one at Ulladulla to be completed.  Hopefully it might.......just might I grant you...........make Coles sit up and take notice just a little bit.
